Her Instagram account shows plenty of stunning shots of Katherine on her travels, trying the food and sightseeing with her friends in Vietnam and Bali after wrapping series two of Blue Lights.

'It's been amazing, even just in terms of how my life has changed,' she told the audience.'Recently, two Dutch girls recognised me and came up to me in Bali, which was insane. But I'm just super grateful.'

Prior to Blue Lights Katherine hadbit-parts in Amazon Prime series Vikings and Irish indie drama The Digand was busy partying with her friends after studying at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff.

Before Cardiff, Katherine spent a year on a foundation course for acting in Dublin as well as working a nine to five after turning downfive university offers for academic courses in pursuit of an acting career.

She had just moved to London in 2022 when she got the call that she had been cast in Blue Lights.

So as soon as she arrived in London, she was back living with her parents inCounty Tyrone, where she grew up with her engineer father and art teacher mother, for the duration of the Blue Lights shoot.

Katherine shared behind the scenes snaps of her time on set, larking around on a toy police bike while dressed in costume for one Insta snap.

And Blue Lights has seen Katherine's proud family become the talk of the town back home with the actress revealing during an interview with The Independent last year that during Easter week hermother went to Mass every single day for an excuse to show off her daughter.

'We were all taking the pi** because she hasn't been to Mass in years,' she laughed.

She explained during the same interview how important it is for her to champion her home and see 'diverse accents, not just diverse people' on screen.

Reflecting on her years studying in Cardiff, Katherine admitted'I really was struggling to find my voice, particularly having a Northern Irish accent and being in a room and being one of maybe two people who have a different accent, and everybody else perhaps has an English accent.'

'It can sometimes feel intimidating. But, in third year, I suppose I had a bit of a rebirth and I just thought, no, eff this, like, I'm gonna speak my truth.'

Series two of Blue Lights continues on BBC One at 9pm on Mondays with series one and two available on iPlayer now.
