Double glazing uses two panes of 4mm glass instead of just one which is then sealed into uPVC or Aluminium framework. Between the two panes of glass, there is a 20mm space bar. This gap is filled with a mixture of air and at least 90% argon gas. By sealing the gas between panes, your home increases its insulation, staying warmer in the colder months and becomes more energy efficient.
