Fantasticly breathtaking trip to Neuschwanstein and Linderhoff Castles 27 May 2023
Elizabeth_O,
May 2023
The whole process was smooth from booking with the option to delay paying until closer to the trip with reservation confirmed. Easy directions to find the tour bus, friendly service from driver Menton. Enjoyed the front seat, snacks and drinks with my VIP booking. Great views all day! The tour guide Max was wonderful with his trusty helper- his puppy- which was a delightful part of the trip. He was really well behaved. Max was so informative and added a real vibe to the tour. Relaxed but attentive! The Castles were spectacular, breathtaking- the walk up the hill to Neuschwanstein was challenging but worthwhile for the views. A fantastic day!! Would do it again and highly recommend to family and friends.Thank you all.
Must do!

Bucket list and it did not disappoint. I believe our guides name was Greta. She was filled with knowledge and made it so much more enjoyable. Our driver was equally wonderful. Don’t miss this one!
So worth the trip!

This trip was so well planned. Our driver and tour guide were both great. Our first stop was a little quick, but the second stop left a good amount of time to shop, ear and sight see. A great day with a good sized group; not too large! Do this!
Linderhof is a must see

Being able to have a bus take us all the way and not having to swap from one form of transport to the other. We would have probably missed Linderhof if we had gone by train and that was by far the best part of the tour
Must do castle tour!

Francisca was an excellent guide and provided us with some much valuable information. The trip was comfortable and really enjoyable. We never would have gotten to both castles in one day without the tour!
Disappointed in large group for small group price
Reva_H,
Apr 2023
We paid for a small group tour and we put on a large coach with 27 others! This is the second time I have paid for small group and then got the standard coach bus tour. Tour guide was bus was fine. Friendly and offered a few free snacks (not quantity) and drinks for our “premium “ tour. I won’t be tricked again. I don’t know if this is Viator or the provider but twice ripped off!
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Glad you were happy with the bus and the tour guide! If you read in "Additional Information" you will see that a small group goes up to 40 people! A large group is up to 70 people in the double decker!!! You got the best seats in the very front of the bus! Snacks were offered as described and drinks you could choose as much as you wanted. Of course you had the castle admissions included! We had everything fulfilled as described! Why you feel ripped off twice, we do not understand!
Excellent your. Recommend highly

The setting of the Neuschwanstein Castle was truly magical and breathtaking - particularly in a winter setting. Loved it although the steps and uphill climbs left my feet hurting!
Great tour, great guide and driver!

I booked a VIP tour to the Linderhof Palace and Neuschwanstein castle. The tours were great, very helpful and informative tour guide (Franciska? Sorry for the butchered spelling probably.) The tours sell out quickly, book ahead! We enjoyed a great time and really appreciated the guide and driver, Mentor! If I bring friends or family back to the area, we will book this again.

Beautiful and dramatic sightseeing, wonderful bus guide!
Sara_P,
Sep 2022
This tour was absolutely wonderful! Our guide on the bus was an incredible story-teller and she was extremely sweet and soothing. One thing to be aware of: this tour was 10.5 hours, and not 9. We left our meeting spot in Munich at 9am and got back at 7:30pm. This is the second tour where Viator had given a time estimate that was pretty significantly incorrect. Please be sure to contact the actual agency conducting the tour, especially if you have a train to catch!
Wonderful day

Driving through the German countryside was beautiful. Our driver Mentor was very safe and skillful in the city of Munich, on the motorway and the narrow winding roads of the small towns and mountains. Our guide, Gerda, was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this company.

The Definitive Tour of Neuschwanstein Castle
HRandall_C,
Jul 2022
Maria was an excellent host, very knowledgeable on Munich, Austria, the Holy Roman Empire, Hapsburgs, Wittlebachs, King Ludwig II, and Bavarian culture. She greatly enhanced the tour with her knowledge. The Neuschwanstein Castle was beautiful, breathtaking, really. The interior was as thoughtful and tasteful as the breathtaking and ideally inspired exterior. True beauty and art, in an architectural masterpiece.

BEYOND YOUR EXPECTATIONS!!!
celinefunk,
May 2022
This was my third time to visit the Royal Castles (from the US) and this was by far THE BEST! Francesca and Mentor far exceeded our expectations. Her wealth of knowledge of Bavaria, command of English and professionalism were impressive! They cared for the comfort of our small group of 10 (in a Mercedes van) as they made sure our enjoyment of the tour was maximized. It was not only a tour of the castles but also included a personalized tour of the Bavarian village of Oberammergau and countryside. The snacks they provided were a surprise - delightful and delicious! The company is relatively new in the business so they try harder to please their clients. And they have succeeded! When you’re in Bavaria, try this tour company as they will definitely EXCEED YOUR EXPECTATIONS!! Be sure to ask for FRANCESCA!!!

This tour was everything I could have hoped for and more. Great hospitality by both our driver and tour guide, as well all the interesting facts and history lessons along the way. Our guide made getting into the castles very easy and took great care of us. Plus, being offered beer and water while on our way was awesome. Highly recommended!
